Spinner Seat

Spinner Seat

An Architectural High-backed Spinners Style Chair

  • The perfect piece to add a bit of drama to a room
  • This is formed from solid Beech in four parts, the main back, the seating, the front leg and a central brace, so three legs of sorts. The whole stool has been finished in a dark wax
  • The carvings are ancient triquetra celtic knots within a circle symbol maybe representing eternity
  • All pieces are glued, screwed and the visible securing screws are covered with oak dowel plugs.
  • Dimensions are  BACK - Height c.122cms x Width c.32cms/ SEATHeight c.45cms x Width c.32cms/ Depth: both back and seat are c.4cms thick)
  • ...and remember as with all my pieces, a knock or mark just adds to its new history - with you.

This is a sculptural solid piece of beech which has been burnt in areas an finished in a dark wax. To add to the drama I cut through the back and also the central brace with a celtic knot  I think it adds to the overall timeworn presence. I have also shown an unfinished piece if a lighter more natural effect is preferred.

It is a solid piece and although impressive is not too large to fit into a corner or that space where you are just not sure what to add.
